Every major power grab in recent history needed a crisis to justify itself, and health or safety emergencies are the perfect cover because nobody wants to argue against protecting people. The problem is that once the emergency becomes the framework, the restrictions rarely fully roll back, they just become the new normal. We're told to trust the process, but the process always seems to expand the state's reach while shrinking individual choice. It's not that all precautions are bad, it's that the emergency playbook gets reused until it's worn out. If you can't question the urgency, you can't question the authority.
